What promise have you broken that you now regret?

Before we begin let me ask you a question. Have you ever broken a promise that you now regret?
If so, then this is for you. Now that we know you’ve experienced this before ask yourself who did you make that promise to and why did you break it. Today I’m going to show you how to keep the promises you make.
When we make a promise it’s up to us to make sure we go through with said promise, when we don’t we run the risk of damaging not only our integrity but others as well. We never know how long someone will be with us, so it’s up to us to make sure we do what we promise. In the case where you made a promise to a loved one in which you weren’t able to fulfill remember that moment and use it as motivation and inspiration to be an individual of your word. It can take years to build up a relationship based on trust, but in reality, it only takes a second for that relationship to be destroyed especially when false promises are made and aren’t gone through with.
To avoid destroying our relationships and ruining our reputation we have to strive to keep our word. Before you find yourself making any promises you have to ask yourself these questions. Do I really want to do this? You have to question if it’s something you’re actually willing to put your time and energy into.
I’d you find that your answer to this first question is no then you shouldn’t go through with making that promise. The next question you should ask yourself is, am I able to do this? If you don’t believe you’re capable of going through with whatever promise it maybe it would be best if you decide not to make a promise. If you’re able to answer yes for both of the previous questions your next and final question should be, how am I going to do this. This question allows you to ask yourself what your next steps will be in order to excite whatever it is you promised to someone or something.
By asking yourself these questions you’re creating a guideline for yourself with multiple steps. Each time you can answer yes you move on and allow yourself to develop a more detailed plan. You have to remember that keeping your promises are important for not only other people, but especially yourself. When you’re able to fulfill the promises, you make you’ll feel so much better about yourself and your relationships. So, remember keep your promises and you’ll have no more regret when it comes to you not committing.
